Fall Beauty Trend: Metallic Nail Polish

 

Metallics are making a comeback this fall (yay!)  all over runway, so what better way to sport it then on your nails. From gold to rose gold, silver to bronze, you have a wide palette to choose from. These colors will be the perfect shiny accent to your cute over-sized sweater and tall boot outfit combo :)

Fall is basically here and we all know what that means...sugar and spice and everything...pumpkin! The pumpkin craze has already begun, and so have the blogs posts about it :) I wanted to do a post of 3 popular (and delicious) pumpkin spice recipes. They are all healthy recipes, and a fun fact about pumpkin is that it is loaded with disease-fighting vitamins and a ton of antioxidants. Enjoy! 

1. Spiced Pumpkin, Yogurt and Granola Parfait 

This yummy and nutritious breakfast recipe only takes 10 minutes to prepare. All it is, is layers of spiced pumpkin puree (you can buy this canned), greek yogurt and granola.

2. Pumpkin Spice Protein Pancakes 

Who doesn't love pancakes? These fluffy, protein-packed flapjacks are made with egg whites, oats, protein powder and canned pumpkin.

3. Chocolate Swirl Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

                                                               Vision Boarding 

So vision boarding is something I recently discovered, and I'm glad I did! It's a fun DIY that helps you set goals by reminding you of them everyday. 

A vision board is a board where you post your goals and aspirations you want to happen or come true, hence the name 'vision board.' It helps motivate you because it works as a constant reminder of what you want. 

My roommate and I made a vision board for the year recently and we had so much fun doing it. It really has been an inspiration to us since we have it up in our living room and we see it everyday. Here is a photo:

With school/classes finally starting back up for all k-high school students and college students, I decided to do a post on back-to-school trends (and its more than just clothes), and plus, I promised I would ;) So here they are!

Doesn't matter if you're in second grade, a senior in high school or a freshman in college, these cute pouches are perfect from storing everything from pens, pencils and even makeup. Perfect to just throw in your backpack! 

Trend #2: Combat Boots

Look cool in funky combat books this school year. With a large variety to choose from, you can find a pair for any outfit. Kellie's has a lot of combat boots in a lot of different sizes to choose from right now. 

Trend #3: Artsy Notebooks 

Jot down your notes in style with creative notebooks. 

Trend #4: T-shirts with Humorous Slogans

Only your schoolwork should be taken serious? Make you're  classmates lol with cute and funny tees like these. (Can also be found at Kellie's!) 

Trend #5: Backpack Fresheners 

Um, yes. Just discovered these. With all of the random things students tend to throw in their backpacks, it was about time someone invented these.
